When you look for a server for a GPU job, two options come up: a graphics card VDS, or a graphics card dedicated server. Both pass as “a GPU server,” but they are actually built for different audiences. Choosing the wrong one means either paying too much for nothing, or your job not running at all. This article draws the line clearly.
The one real difference: a slice, or the whole card
Every difference flows from this.
On a graphics card VDS, you get a slice of a real NVIDIA card (a Tesla P40 in our case) assigned to you through vGPU technology — say 1 or 2 GB. This is an enterprise method of splitting a single physical card across several virtual servers. The card is real, but not all of it is yours.
On a graphics card dedicated server, the entire card belongs only to you. It is a real GTX or RTX card installed on the motherboard, shared with nobody; all of its VRAM is yours.

Where price and workload cross
The decision is really made not on price, but on the weight of the job.
A small amount of VRAM (1–2 GB) is more than enough for almost all game clients, bots, Android emulators and browser games — because these applications want the graphics card to exist, not its capacity. Buying a full card here does not speed the job up; it only grows the bill.
On the other hand, an AI model, 3D rendering or heavy video work wants the whole card and high VRAM. A language model does not fit into 1–2 GB; a render scene uses all the memory. Here a VDS slice falls short and a dedicated server is the only option.
In short: light, always-on jobs go to the VDS; heavy, capacity-hungry jobs go to dedicated.
Choose a graphics card VDS if…

You’ll run a bot or automation. A slice is enough to run your bots 7/24 without leaving your own computer on.
You’ll use an Android emulator. BlueStacks, LDPlayer and NoxPlayer need hardware acceleration; vGPU covers it.
Budget matters and the job is light. From 750 TRY, delivered instantly, with room to move up a plan later.
You want to test. A cheap start makes a wrong decision a cheap mistake.
Choose a graphics card dedicated server if…
You’ll run AI / LLMs. If the model does not fit in memory it will not run at all; a 1–2 GB slice won’t do here — you need a full 8–32 GB card.
You’ll do 3D rendering or compute. Time scales with CUDA core count; you need the whole card.
You’ll build a video encoding / render farm. Heavy, sustained GPU load is served by a full card, not a shared slice.

Full isolation is a requirement. For enterprise work where the card must not be shared, dedicated is the only way.
Two common mistakes
1. Buying a full card for a light job. Renting an RTX dedicated server “just to be safe” for a bot or emulator means paying for idle capacity for months. A Graphics Card VDS slice is already enough for these.
2. Buying a slice for a heavy job. The reverse is also true: expecting to run a language model or a render job on a VDS with a 1–2 GB vGPU ends in disappointment. The model won’t fit and the job never starts.

If you can’t decide
If your job is a game client, a bot or an emulator, don’t hesitate: a Graphics Card VDS is the right and cheap choice. If your job is AI or rendering, a graphics card dedicated server with enough VRAM is the only real option.
The one thing you may be stuck on is “is my job light or heavy?” Put it this way: if the application just wants the graphics card to exist, go VDS; if it leans on the card’s memory and cores, go dedicated.
