The server is on 24/7; to keep the client running while you are away, you place an always-on, cheap “bridge VDS” in between. This lets you keep playing with a stable connection and low ping without leaving your home computer on.
Does the Knight Online client come pre-installed?
No, the client is not pre-installed. The server is delivered with Windows and full Administrator access; you connect over Remote Desktop (RDP), download and install the Knight Online client, and start playing right away.
How do I connect to the server?
When your server is delivered, your access details appear in your panel. You connect with Windows Remote Desktop (RDP); RDP is built into every Windows, and on a phone you use the free Remote Desktop app. There is no extra software to install.
Does the game freeze when I close Remote Desktop?
With plain Remote Desktop, the game screen freezes when you close the connection; this is not a fault, it is how Remote Desktop works. On servers like USKO, Parsec/AnyDesk are banned, so the solution is to put an always-on bridge VDS in between: the bridge stays connected to the game server, so the game keeps running even after you close your own connection. How many clients can I run?
This depends both on the resources of the plan you choose and on the rules of the Knight Online server you play on. How many clients you may run varies with that server’s terms of use, and complying with those rules is the user’s responsibility. You can move up a plan as your resource needs grow.
Which plan should I choose?
The entry plan is enough for basic use, and you can move up to higher plans for scenarios that need more resources. Because the Knight Online client is sensitive to single-core performance, every plan uses a high-clock Ryzen 9 5900X processor.
Does the server stay on all the time?
The server machine runs 24/7 and does not depend on your home power or internet. However, keeping the client running requires an open remote desktop session; you achieve this (without keeping your own computer on) with an always-on bridge VDS placed in between.
