Up to 34% higher multi-core performance

Intel Xeon Gold 6240R: Next-Generation Performance

Our virtual servers run on Intel Xeon Gold 6240R. Against the Xeon Gold 6152 in the same class it scores 34% higher on multi-core work, and 11% higher on single-core performance compared with the Xeon E5-2699 v4.

A high core count and architectural improvements make this the right fit for web servers, databases and virtualisation platforms that answer many simultaneous requests.

A Cloud Management Platform

Powering your server on and off, reinstalling it, opening a console, restoring a backup, writing an rDNS record and upgrading resources are not scattered across separate places. Everything sits in one panel, ready the moment you order.

The panel below is a demo of the real interface — you can explore it by clicking the menu tiles and buttons.

What is Xeon VDS good for?

01

Corporate websites and e-commerce

The 48 threads on a Xeon Gold 6240R absorb large numbers of simultaneous requests without queueing. On corporate sites, WooCommerce and custom e-commerce builds, response times stay flat as traffic grows because background jobs run on separate cores.

02

Database and reporting servers

On MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and MSSQL installations the number of concurrent connections you can serve tracks core count directly. ECC memory prevents silent data corruption on databases that run around the clock, and NVMe storage pulls query response times down noticeably.

03

Control panels and hosting resellers

For agencies and resellers running many accounts on cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin, total cores and memory are what decide capacity. The upper tiers of the Xeon range are sized to host a large number of client sites on a single server.

Frequently asked questions

What is a VDS, and how does it differ from a dedicated server?
A VDS is an isolated server with resources reserved for you, created by partitioning a dual-socket Xeon Gold 6240R machine through a virtualisation layer. It has its own operating system and root access. On a dedicated server the entire machine is assigned to you; a VDS lets you use the same class of hardware at a much lower cost.
What sets the Xeon Gold 6240R apart from other processors?
With 24 cores and 48 threads it carries the highest core count of any server processor in our catalogue. Being a server-class part, it is built to run at full load continuously and supports ECC memory.
Can I increase disk, RAM and core capacity later?
Disk is independent of the plan: you can add disk during checkout and upgrade it later. RAM and vCPU cores cannot be raised on their own; for those two you move up a plan, and the move is carried out without data loss. The Xeon series offers ten tiers from XE1 to XE10, so upgrades can usually be made in small steps.
What workloads is a Xeon VDS a good fit for?
The Intel Xeon Gold 6240R is built for always-on systems serving many simultaneous requests. Websites, WordPress and e-commerce installations, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, cPanel and Plesk control panels and enterprise application servers are the workloads that benefit most from this series.
Should I take a Xeon VDS or a Ryzen VDS?
Choose Xeon if your workload spreads across many cores and runs continuously — databases, control panels, application servers. Choose Ryzen if single-core speed decides your performance, or if you want the strongest price-to-performance ratio.
Can I connect over Remote Desktop (RDP)?
Yes. You can connect over RDP to Xeon VDS servers running Windows Server. Linux installations use SSH. In either case, if the server stops responding over the network you can still reach it through the VNC console in the panel.
Can I edit rDNS (reverse DNS) records?
Yes, and at no charge. You edit the rDNS records of your IP addresses yourself from the management panel and the change is applied automatically. If you plan to run a mail server, this record matters for delivery success.
How quickly is my server delivered?
Delivery is automatic. The virtual machine is created the moment payment is confirmed and the management panel appears in your client area — the process is measured in seconds. There is no stock wait or manual provisioning step on the Xeon series.
Can I rent additional IP addresses?
Yes. You can rent up to 10 additional IP addresses per Xeon VDS. You request them from the panel, and you manage the rDNS records of the assigned addresses yourself from the same place.
Can I try the server before buying?
We do not offer a free trial. Instead you have an unconditional right of return within the first 3 days. Since the Xeon series is designed for many-core workloads, that window is enough to test your real load on the server.
What does technical support cover?
Our support covers operating-system level accessibility and infrastructure-related problems: a server that will not boot, network access, disk and hardware faults. Installing and configuring third-party software you deploy on the server is outside that scope; separate support plans are available for it.
What does ECC memory actually do?
ECC memory detects and corrects single-bit errors in RAM. On databases and application servers that run for months without a restart, it prevents the kind of silent data corruption that is otherwise very hard to trace.
How many vCPUs should I choose?
For a standard website or a small e-commerce store, 2 to 4 vCPUs are usually enough. Above roughly 500 concurrent visitors, or when you run a database and a web server on the same machine, 6 to 12 vCPUs is the sensible range. You can move up a tier at any time without data loss.
Do you offer website migration?
Yes. We help you move sites from your current hosting provider to your Xeon VDS. Just raise a migration request through support after ordering. See our Site Transfer Policy for the scope and pricing.
Where are the servers hosted?
All Xeon VDS servers are hosted in the TAYNET data center in Istanbul, which sits at the crossing point between Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus and gives low round-trip times across all three regions.
Is there a management panel?
Yes. A server management panel is provisioned automatically with your Xeon VDS. Installing an operating system, stopping and starting the server, opening a VNC console, editing rDNS records and monitoring traffic in real time are all done from that panel. There is no separate licence or setup fee.
Is there a traffic limit?
Every plan has a monthly Fair Usage Point (FUP), ranging from 2 TB to 20 TB across the Xeon VDS range. Reaching it does not suspend your service; your server’s speed is capped at the post-FUP rate defined for your plan (5–40 Mbps). You are notified by e-mail at 50%, 80% and 100%. You can lift the cap immediately by buying extra traffic from the panel at 46 TRY + VAT per TB, and the counter resets with your new billing period. For the full detail, read our Fair Usage Policy.
Do you provide backups?
Backup responsibility rests primarily with the customer; even so, we back up all Xeon VDS servers daily to dedicated backup servers to guard against problems. The service is free — you do not need to buy a separate backup package.
